ILOG (SCHICK/STEIDLE)

Ignaz Schick (turntables, electronics)

Oliver Steidle (drums, percussion)

is a new Berlin based concrete jazz-core/noise duo which started performing live

in late Autumn 2013. Both artists are a highly prolific and involved in numerous projects

in the capital. Their musical output is varied & ranges from jazz, noise, free improv,

new music or musique concrete. ILOG focusses on very crisp energetic

cut up pieces combining old school free jazz energy with a solid punk attitude & current

streams of electro-acoustic & concrete noises. The music is strictly improvised, fast moving

and refreshing. Their first couple of shows in Berlin very received with great enthusiasm by the

Berlin experimental music community. At the moment both are preparing for & working on their first

album release.

JEALOUSY PARTY

JP is a Berlin based abstract r&b band blending noise and improvisation with free funk, avant rock, error music, earthquake dub-hop and idiosyncratic electronic collages in a personal way they call punca.
Founded in Florence, Italy, in 1995 they built a personal and recognizable style even keeping their personnel constantly open to variations and flexible for specific explorations.
They will tour as a duo with founder members WJM and Mat Pogo on players, electronics and vocals playing metamorphic samples from the burning library of sessions that the duo recorded with an open collective of musicians involved in the Jealousy Party since years. Those recordings are endlessly reshuffled, dubbed and remixed live.

DORON SADJA
Doron Sadja is an American artist, composer, and curator whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound, light, and space.  Working primarily with multichannel spatialized sound – combining pristine electronics with lush romantic synthesizers, extreme frequencies, dense noise, and computer-enhanced acoustic instruments, Sadja creates post-human, hyper-emotive sonic architecture. Although each of Sadja’s works are striking in their singular and focused approach, his output is diverse: spanning everything from immersive multichannel sound pieces to sexually provacative performance / installation works, and stroboscopic smoke, mirror, laser, and projection shows. Doron has published music on 12k, ATAK, and Shinkoyo records, and has performed/exhibited at PS1 MoMa, Miami MOCA, D’amelio Terras Gallery, Cleveland Museum of Art, Issue Project Room, and Roulette amongst others. Sadja co-founded Shinkoyo Records and the West Nile performing arts venue in Brooklyn (RIP), and has curated various new music/sound festivals around NYC, including the multichannel SOUNDCORRIDORS Festival, Easy Not Easy, John Cage Musicircus, and more.

CROCANTI
